I have 2 Windows PC's. I use LG Smartshare on both to share files (video, photos, music) with my smart TV's. Occasionally, I discover that Smartshare is not running on one of my PC's. I notice this because when I try to access these files on my Smart TV's I do not see the LG xxx (where xxx is the name of one of my computers) source displayed in the list of sources.
When I go to my PC, I click on "Open Smartshare" or "Smartshare Settings". When I do, I see a message "Service Starting" (or "Starting Service"). Once this completes, I can then see the LG xxx source on my TV's.
- Why doesn't Smartshare always start with Windows?
- What is the "service" mentioned in the message? Is it a Windows Service (like Windows Audio). If it is, I assume that I can go into Windows Services on my computer andsee if the servcie is setup to automatically start or manually start.
