Wash machine fills completely full with water with 2 items, among other problems
I have an LG wash machine that I purchased almost 7 years ago. It has given me nothing but problems, starting with constantly saying it is unbalanced and filling up with water. It normally takes 8 hours to wash 1 load of laundry because of this. I’ve had to train myself to listen for when it starts to fill up so I can run to it and quickly pause and start again. It has been frustrating to say the least.
Nonetheless, this question is about some new problems I have encountered with it. First of all, it completely fills up with water even if I have a very small load. Today I put a dress and a yard of fabric in the washer. I put it on delicate cycle and after an hour, I checked on it and it said there was 40 minutes remaining. I hit pause and opened the lid. It was completely full of water! (See photo)
The second problem is that it will say it is done, unlock, and play the end toon while still spinning.
The third problem is that sometimes it will stay at 18 minutes for a very, very long time (like all night day and night) until I check on it and see it is doing absolutely nothing, like it is on pause, but it’s not. I hit pause, then start again and it is fine.
And the fourth problem is that sometimes it will spin and spin, but at a very low speed, for a very long time (Like an hour, or until I check on it). It does not spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes. This always happens when it says there is 11 minutes left. At times I just give up and put the clothes in the dryer, dripping wet.
I mainly use the cotton/normal cycle.
It is an LG WT4870C model.
