Frequent audio distortion with PCM via eARC on C9 since latest FW update.
Since update of my C9 to the newest FW version 4.80.03 I have been experiencing a serious issue with PCM audio from multiple sources.
Connectivity is AppleTV 4K ->C9-> Denon X4500H (latest FW) & PS4 -> C9 ->X4500H all via certified high speed HDMI cables.
Prior to the update both my PS4 and my ATV 4K were outputting bit-stream audio via eARC to the C9 since PCM was not supported and I had no issues with audio distortion.
Since the update, intermittently, when a PCM audio stream is started the audio is distorted. If I back out of the app or game and re-start then eventually I will get proper audio.
This seems to be some kind of handshake issue between the C9 and 4500H that is causing a mis-match in PCM formats. At least that is my guess.
What other information does LG need to pursue this issue and eventually produce a firmware that resolves the issue?
