Not just 4k120, any 120 Hz refresh rate is subsampled. This has been confirmed with RTX 3080 GPU.
This is in PC mode btw.
Please address this immediately LG or I’m returning my CX before the end of next week. This is a standard function of hdmi 2.1.
Can confirm, same here.
I'm using my CX48" as a monitor and text sharpness suffers a lot at 120Hz.
I was really looking forward to 4K 120Hz RGB (or 4:4:4) :/
This has been extensively covered in some other forums:
What's most interesting is that the C9 doesn't seem to have this issue.
After further testing, this occurs at 1080p120 and 4k120 at both 8 and 10 bit. 1440p120 does not subsample.
when can we expect to get these issues resolved? Please respond to our concerns regarding chroma subsampling @ 4K 120 hrz and Gsync not working. These two features stated above are the reasons I purchased this tv because they are advertised to work with the tv. Please advise thank you
The subsampling is more likely 422. Manual specifically states that 4k120 is supported at 444, 422, and 420 with HDMI Deep Color enabled. This needs to be corrected ASAP or refunds are in order.
@JamalofLG Could we get any acknowledgement of this major issue?
ho lo stesso problema con xbox series x non va mai a 120hz solo 60hz ho comprato questo tv per questo, anche dopo aggiornamento 03.11.30 non è cambiato niente
