webmasterpdx, I do not believe Z camera can be used as a thermal camera. however that would be a question for the developer of the app.

kozia, I would have to refer you to LG Support for your region for further assistance with this. They would be able to advice further on support for this model in your region. Please see: https://www.lg.com/uk/support/contact/chat-email

weastham, Try uninstalling the ThinQ app and installing it again. It should allow you to search for it again. Try unlink and relinking ThinQ in the Google Home app.

I have a LG C8PUA 55" Class HDR UHD Smart OLED TV connected via hardwire to my home network. Sometime ago, there was a firmware update to 05.10.35 that I installed.  Prior to installing this update, ThinQ version 3.0.1601000 on my Android phone could connect to the TV, this also allowed Google Assistant to control the TV once it was on.  Now ThinQ can't find the device.  Both the TV and my phone are on the same subnet on my home network and I can ping the TV from my phone.  I'm stumped.

Trying to connect LG LSWD100 to Wi-Fi home network from my smartphone. From ThinQ app everything is ok until the moment when app is trying to upload necessary configuration to washer and error message appears in app - "The ThinQ app does not support this product"!!!
This is very annoying, we chose this product because of the remote management feature with ThinQ app
    Please help!  Thank you.

I set up the face recognition to unlock and a friend was able to unlock it. Face recognition is worthless if it recognizes everyone else as me....

Connected 3700 washer to network via SmartThinQ app, and need to change the network name. App shows “authenticating”, then “changing”, and after a bit reverts to prior network name, with message that it couldn’t complete the change. Does the prior network need to be available to change to a new network? The change process worked on the dryer.

    I have bought:
    one fridge
    one washer
    one dryer

no one can connect to the app.(android...on an LG phone)
The registration arrives sometime to 20%, sometimes to 60% sometimes to 80% then it says that the router wifi password is incorrect...(but it isn't)

Hi, im having issue pairing my fridge and washer to the app.

Every time i try and follow the instructions, this message below will pop up.

After i go to my settings to make sure that it is properly connected to the appliance and back to the app again, it will load for a while and this message will pop up again.

LG's technician had came to see the issue and had successfully paired the devices to his phone so the issue is not with the appliances. Was told that it should be some settings in my phone.

But i am unable to identify what could be the issue.

    Appreciate any advises.

I purchased a lfxs26973s refrigerator 2 months ago. Yesterday my food was defrosting and it was 52 in frig. I received no warning from the Thinq app that there was a problem. Certainly the app knows what temp is set and what the actual temp is. Well it should, otherwise WIFI useless. I ran diagnosis and it said everything is fine. Not when the frig went to 60 degrees. Of course lost all my food. Today Thinq says it is in defrost mode and inside is 70 degrees. To replace a 10 year old frig after it's compressor died with a brand new WIFI frig that dies 2 months after I bought is beyond frustrating.

And of course on the weekend when no support. My future with LG is looking gloomy, I can't imagine buying or trusting LG again.

Thinq is just a marketing tool probably for gathering data for resale, app itself does little of importance.

Loved the app until last week when they did some kind of upgrade to it. Now I cannot set up a schedule anymore as when i click Add schedule a box pops up saying Notice: please retry for normal operation. when i click on my pre-existing schedule the same box pops up but it changes my schedule forward 1 hour.   Why the update if it makes things more difficult.

THIS BUG IS STILL AN ISSUE - SINCE MID-JULY. APP DEVELOPERS, PLEASE FIX IT.

There is a widespread bug in the SmartThinQ app. I have tried numerous times to contact LG to fix it with no success. Please fix this bug. It's been an issue for over 2 months and makes the scheduling function in the app for AC units USELESS.

I have the refrigerator with Smart ThinQ built in and I can’t connect with the app. And it says the app won’t take special characters for the router name? Why is this a lot of routers have special characters are emojis down for the network name

I found a problem, at least for washer server connection problem:

When installing Smart ThinQ, I need to select my region, but language English. Previously I selected Latvia/Latvian and always got an error message. When I selected Latvia/English everything is OK.

So I assume it would be similar bug also for other countries and languages.

If you have this problem, just uninstall and install the App and within first screen Top corner change to "Your Country"/English

HELP! I have the 50UM7300PUA smart TV which boasts Apple Airplay 2 capabilities. My TV is connected to the same Wifi as my brand new iPhone XS and 2019 Macbook Air. I have checked for firmware updates and there is nothing new to install. My TV is not detected by any of my devices.

I sent an e-mail to LG and they gave me the same set-up article on their website which I've seen. I then called LG and the rep told me Airplay 2 has not yet been 'activated' or available yet but I would be e-mailed once that update becomes available. But I've also been told Airplay 2 is ready to go on the TV so I need some help as to why I can't get my iPhone or Macbook air to detect the new LG

I have not been able to use the smart functions of my washer and dryer since LG moved from the dedicated laundry app to the unified smartthinq app.

I'm on iOS 12.4 on an iPhone X.
my washer (WT6001HVA) and Dryer (DLEX6001V)  are on 2.4 Ghz
I still get notifications from the LINE app, as well as the SmartThinq app.
I'm able to link to Google Assistant, but Google tells me "Sorry, there was an error with the washer"

I have uninstalled the app, and reinstalled the app.  The first launch after reinstall, I get to a page that shows my appliance and "Checking Product Status" but it never updates.

I would think removing and re-adding these to my account would fix, but how could I remove these if the app won't launch fully?   it shows my device on the front page as "checking product status" but when I go into devices there is nothing listed.

When I force close, then re-open the SmartThinQ app, It just tells me "network instability" and closes.

    SmartThinQ App version:

    •             Cell phone model number and software version: MQAN2LL/A - iPhone X - iOS 12.4

    •             SmartThinQ User ID: cntrydoe@gmail.com

    •             Product(s) model name & Serial Number:

                    DLEX6001V - 210KWZH2F261

                    WT6001HVA - 210KWdj18986

    •             Router Manufacturer:    Ubiquiti

    •             Router Model Number:   Unifi Pro 4

    •             Internet Provider: Comcast

I tried both with wifi and phone data, but it still gives me same error. has anybody faced the same issue on Smart ThinQ app?
By the way i'm using iOS Smart ThinQ app.

Just got my LG G8 ThinQ. When I receive a text message, how do I add that number to my contacts? I tapped on the menu icon in the message, but it gives no option to add that person to my contacts.

I set up three ductless mini split wall units, and established Smart thinQ connectivity on my phone to all three. Two days later o wake to one of the units making a weird revving sound and a disconnected message in the app. Followed all instructions in the book about powering down, etc, but I cannot get the Wi-Fi icon to light up on the wall unit itself . Again, I tried flipping the breaker to reset the unit. It’s as if the Wi-Fi capability in the unit won’t turn on. Any ideas?
