I just bought a LFXC22526S SmartThinQ Refrigerator and registered it to my LG account on the SmartThinQ app mobile app and I can see it via that app on my iPhone. Neither Google Assistant or Alexa see the Refrigerator. The SmartThinQ tv app on my LG C8 Oled say there are no registered devices. Is there a problem reconciling my devices on the LG servers? Who can I contact for help?
My LG ThinQ55C8 and LG Sky9 Dolby Atmos Sound bar has many issue like those stated above. Google Cast not working on both, Wi-Fi issues on sound bar and very poor LG Customer Service. I am a service technician for a tv provider and I am disgusted at the lack of App Support when updates are released that make consumers equipment crash. As all my equipment was working before the updates. The LG TV OS app sucks as it is very basic along with the LG WiFi Speaker app you go through the setup steps it says ok it’s in and then after setup no speakers connected. Seriously why do we pay thousands of hard earned dollars for crappy equipment and service? Maybe it’s time for consumers to fight back and seek legal action?
I just upgraded to a LG7 thinq phone. On some of my games the graphics extend past the edge of the screen. where is the setting to adjust this? I have tried reducing the screen resolution and that did not help. Thank you

Hello i have a LG Tv WebOS TV UJ630V with software version 05.80.10 and i can't seem to find the app (connect to google or alexa ... ) on my tv ? ! can you please tell me how can i add that app ?!
@shawnh12 Sorry to hear you're having difficulties connecting to Alexa. The following link has step by step set up instructions. If you're not able to connect via the instructions, we would recommend deleting the Smart ThinQ app and disconnecting the power to the machines. After power has been disconnected, download the application and reconnect the units to the app.

Libertas Connecting the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 28 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled French Door Refrigerator, Model # LMXS28626S allows you to communicate with the refrigerator using your smartphone. Depending on what type of smartphone you have, you can download and install the LG SmartThinQ application to your smartphone from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and follow the app's instructions to download and install it. With the app, you can manage your food by keeping track of items in the refrigerator and freezer. It will send alerts when items are near their use by dates. You can generate grocery lists and links to related recipes. Keeping track of the refrigerator's power consumption and the number of door openings allows you to monitor the energy. You can remotely control the refrigerator's temperature, Fresh Air Filter and Ice Plus functions from your smartphone. If the door remains open for more than ten minutes, you will receive a push message and you will also receive a push message when ice plus ends. You can set various options on the refrigerator with the app. If your electric utility company uses the Smart Grid, you can register the refrigerator with them and use the Smart Grid Function. When in Smart Grid Mode, the Smart Refrigerator function can control energy usage or delay operation of some functions to save energy during peak usage periods. You can lower energy usage based on Demand Response (DR) signals from your utility company. The Smart Grid Function responds to notification events from your utility company to run high energy consuming tasks during off-peak periods when demand is lower. These notification events are known as Demand Response signals. If the refrigerator receives a Demand Response signal from the utility company, the refrigerator will turn on the Grid LED on the refrigerator display and control its power consumption according to the signal. The refrigerator will respond to the signals received from the utility company as long as product performance is maintained. If the refrigerator receives a Demand Response signal, the refrigerator will operate in Delay Appliance Load (DAL) or Temporary Appliance Load Reduction (TALR) mode.
@amscheib Hello and thank you for the information. The unit must be powered on for remote start to work, as the App does not power the unit, and the unit must have power to accept the App commands.
(though some of the instructions are out of date with regards to google home. I had to improvise)
For example, the official documentation, and help previous LG sent me says to "In the top left corner of the Home screen, tap Menu ". There is nothing in the top left corner of google home.
"2. Using GOOGLE HOME app to link DIRECT action.
..........1 Open Google Home app.
..........2 Select “Menu” icon at the top left.
..........3 Select “Home Control”."
None of these steps make any sense. There is no menu item at the top left, there is no home control. opening Google Home on my phone takes me to a Home screen that has the Add + already on it.
But I digress, I think this is irrelevant to my issue, as I was still able to link to LG ThinQ and my TV.
1.) My TV WebOS is 4.10.something
2.) I logged into my LG Account via my Google account. I setup the device as named "TV". You can see this in the attached photo.
3.) Google Home TV Setup (I already have google home working with other devices)
...........a.) I clicked the + "Add" button
...........b.) I clicked 'Set up device'
...........c.) I clicked 'Works with google' (I tried 'New Devices' but the TV did not get discovered by this)
...........d.) I searched for LG ThinQ
...........e.) I logged into my LG ThinQ account (via google integration)
............f.) And my device showed up as "TV", the name I gave it within the LG Television user interface
4.) Now I say "Hey google, set TV picture mode to VIVID" and the Google Home just says it does not know how to do that. (See image). If I say "Hey google, ask LG to set the picture mode to VIVID", LG responds by returning search results for "picture mode vivid" on the TV display.
I attached an image that shows the TV setup information and my google home setup information and my attempts to use it:
I want to buy this fridge and am confused about what WiFi functions if any
LMXS28626S Some store sites say it is not wifi or if it is it is not enabled for everything. I have an Iphone, is it wifi enabled, can I do stuff on it with my Iphone and are some LG fridges MORE wifi capable or functional than others, in that some do stuff others dont?
amscheib, it sounds like your dishwasher has the same issues as the LG WM3700HVA WASHER. If you do a search of "disconnected" in this forum, you will find a discussion of what sounds like the same type of issue I (and others) are having with the washer. The washer issue is now known and documented by LG and the issue has been escalated within LG. The information so far leads to possibly a problem within the APP itself and/or and how it interacts specifically with the washer. (My dryer works fine with the APP as one would expect.) My guess is that whatever issue resolves the problem with the washer can be easily applied to resolve the similar issue with your dishwasher, and I would speculate either a firmware update in the appliance and/or an APP update.
I have the LG V40 Thin Q.How do I connect a shotgun microphone to it when filming vieos? I have a Takstar SGC - 598 and I can't seem to get it to work. Also can I some how use a field monitor?Do I have to go wireless and install a Mycast and external battery for this to work? The option of USBC to video being taken away makes everything a little more difficult.
When i try to acess my dishwasher from the app, I receive a message of - "Disconnected. Please turn on the product and connect to a network in order to use all of the functions. What is the purpose of remote access if I have to walk over and turn it on to utlize remote functionality."
Also similar for my oven, remote start guide indicates to go open the over door and turn on remote start. I don't understand if I have to go enable it to remote whats the purpose. I would generally use remote access when its unplanned. Further if someone utilizes the oven and doesn't reset the remote start, then I have lost my ability to remotely access.
I have just received a LFXS30796D refrigerator and when I try to
register via the ThinQ app on a Samsung S7 phone, the registration
process does not go further that 90%. I get an error message on the
phone and to retry but it always fails. After trying I notice the the
WiFi indicator is on solid.
I have tried many times, tried
putting a WiFi range extender in the kitchen and powering the
refrigerator down for several minutes.
I had no problems with ThinQ app and my new LDT7797BD dishwasher which is only a few feet from the
I downloaded the smart Thinq app on my iPhone and when I try and sign in using either my google login, amazon login, or try creating an LG account i get the error "The information that you entered does not comply with our terms of service." Any suggestions?
