How can LG just ignore this thread. I too love the screen saver frames, except it's unusable with the no signal image. Note I have tried the 'antenna' trick and that does not work. I just posted on twitter too. This is insane lack of response. They just ignore it.
Just purchased a new LG 55" CX coming from as old Sony. I run all my viewing via the internet and have no intention of connecting anything other than games consoles to the TV. The TV needs a mechanism to disable the no connection/ no signal warning banners which blanket the nice artwork screen saver. My previous 8yr old set had no problem doing this.
How is this not fixed? You advertise a TV as an artgallery, but then you slap an ugly message over the top that you CANT REMOVE. None of these fixes solve anything. No i dont want to load another app just to get rid of it, its a SCREEN SAVER. and plugging in Chromecast and other software does not stop it for me. Also those who link to the settings to "turn off no signal image", did you actually try that? it turns off the picture but leaves the no signal message. Thats even worse!!!!!.
LG Pleeeeeeeeeeeease sort this out. You have ruined what would be an amazing feature.
I connected Chromecast dongle to one of the HDMI ports (HDMI3). This dongle is always powered on. So, when we switch on the TV, it finds signal from atleast this HDMI port and this irritating "no signal" message wont be displayed. The chromecast plays the 'Art gallery' pictures in a slideshow. The chromecast collection is any day lot larger(almost infinite) and a lot better than the limited pictures from the LG gallery. Also, with the LG Gallery solution suggested by one of the users, everytime you power on the TV, you need to manually goto Gallery and turn it on. Chromecast doesnt have this problem. Also, its slideshow can be customized to display your personal google photos albums as well.
Just like everyone else, I can’t understand why this hasn’t been addressed. Such a small change would satisfy so many. I paid 5X as much as a lesser TV for this? I mean, c’mon.
For the love of.... please give me the option to remove the hideous “No Signal” message, so I can just enjoy the slideshow of pretty pictures!! No, I don’t want to launch from the Gallery - my TV is connected to a PC, and this should happen by default when the PC goes to sleep.
Thanks for that tip...from someone who bought a new telly on Thursday and only uses a Sky Box. And nithing else.👍
For the love of god can this minor feature request just please be approved already ...😅
"No signal" OSD should have the option to be turned off. End of discussion.
Just get an intern to do it, or invite me over and I'll do it myself. But that probably costs more time and complexity than the 1 story point that can be assigned to this task.
LG is really missing something to not fix this. However, I have found 2 different solutions that have worked for me.
In both cases, the NO SIGNAL FOUND message is gone. I hope this helps.
Hey i tried the Gallery Mode on my LG OLED55C9 but i can't add my own Pictures. I own i just could open them in with the normal photo app but i want it in that Gallery framed look.
