120-240v?

I recently purchased an OLED 65C8PUA tv from the Base Exchange in Germany. The sales rep assured me the TV is 120-240v and can be plugged into a German outlet without using a transformer. The TV itself has a sticker on the back that reads 120V 50/60 hz. Is there any way to confirm that the TV will handle the 220V German voltage short of plugging it directly into the outlet? I have read at least one discussion on the internet that says that all LG TVs today have "universal" power supplies in spite of what may be on the sticker on the back of the set.

arbeegee, the OLED65C8PUA is manufactured for use in the US and is speced for 120V. For usage outside of the US a transformer is recommended as connecting it directly to the 220V can lead to the unit being damage.
