Double checking with the Mobile Dept., there isn't a way to repair if damaged.

Hi JamalOfLG, oh that is so sad. I don't know what happened with the file. But the process was done in my LG phone. It was successfully backed-up in an SD Card. However, after I reset the phone and doing now the restore process it says that the file is damaged.

Really there is no other way to recover the files? Those files are important.

I hope you'll have a way to recover this kind of issue. Anyway it is your backup utility that was performed with the process.

Sherwin, I understand, however, once the file is damaged it cannot be repaired, restored, or recovered.

Is there a way to get the files from the damaged backup file ?
    Especially the quick memo notes.

MANS, There isn't if the file is damaged. If the other files are stored there, it would be the reason why you are not able to pull the other memos.

I have exactly the same problem: I needed to factory reset my phone and prior to the reset, I created an *.lbf back-up file with the LG Back-up utility. This was saved to my SD-card. I did the factory reset without the SD card inserted. After the reset, when I inserted back the SD card, no backup file was automatically found by the LG back-up restore utility. So I just copied the *.lbf file from my SD card to the internal storage folder called LGBackup. The Back-up restore app was then able to see the .*lbf file, with the only mention that it is DAMAGED and cannot use that file.

I've already seen on other forums that so many people encountered this very same problem (even on previous LG G-series phones). So LG Developers, please solve the issue with this automatic LG Back-up App, because it causes loss of data for many people and you bear legal responsibility for it.
