So what is going on with this flagship of a phone? It is almost mid April and my unlocked phone is still on Jan 1st 2019 security patch. My company issued Galaxy S7 has received March 1st updates about a week ago. Has LG already given up? I need to know. I got mine in August of 2018 but I can still return it to Best Buy. Thanks

There was an 11e was released back on 2/8/2019 for unlocked devices. For Sprint there was an update released on 3/14/2019. Updates are still scheduled to be released for this device down the line.

Yes and the updates for unlocked retail devices are responsibility of LG. And LG is failing to keep them updated. This is a half a year old top model cell phone and it currently retails for about $800-$900. Why does LG think this is acceptable?

There was an update relased in Feb. 2019 for the unlocked device and the device is still supported by LG. What are you saying is unacceptable?

The frequency of security updates. They are supposed to be done on a monthly basis. It is almost May and my phone is still on January 1st updates. Both Google and Samsung are doing much better.

Understood. I will submit a complaint regarding the frequency of which we provide updates for our mobile products. Thanks for the feedback.

Hard to believe it's taking this long for the Pie update, I purchased this phone mainly from the LG announcements that the updates were going to be taking priority and sooner than they have in the past "TOTAL LIE", will be selling this and getting a Xiaomi Mi9, my reviews that I've posted "all positive" will be adjusted to reflect this.

This is one of the reasons why LG's mobile division is taking a financial nose dive each quarter. I've been a consumer of LG for some time and I hope that it is not too late to turn things around. I've owned a number of devices including the LG Leon, G4, V20 and now the V40. I have enjoyed all of these phones which proved to be well built, quality products that were feature-fiiled, functional and fun. LG has to improve their marketing strategy, honor their promise of timely software/security updates and regain their reputation as a manufacturer to be reckoned with or the mobile division is destined to go the way of the dinosaur.
