Magic Remote to pulling Cable set top box channel guide

Just bought a 55" C9.   The magic remote works well except for the Guide button.    It does not recognize any of the channels from my Spectrum set top box.

Just bought a 55" C9.   The magic remote works well except for the Guide button.    It does not recognize any of the channels from my Spectrum set top box.    The channel up and down buttons work great.  It defeats the purpose of the Guide button if it doesn't really work as it should.   Am I missing something that I need to configure differently?    If not, then this is not a universal remote at all.   Thanks.

    Same here , if you disconnect and go back to connecting process - nothing changes, i think it is a glitch in software .

    Same problem . I can control my canle
    box with the magic remote but I am not use the guide and recommend feature . I have the 65 in E9 I can not believe this is an issue with a 4200 dollar tv. I think I will bring this tv back and go with Sony oled . Sick cuz I love this tv . But if I can’t use the TV guide it’s gojng back . I see a lot of people with the same issue and LG seem to not care .🤷🏻‍♂️

    ***Update.*** Charter has been added to the list for applicable areas. You should have access to the guide for Charter when using the magic remote, after setup in the Device Connector.

    Having the same issue.  The addition of Charter to the list apparently did not solve the problem being experienced by others.  Any additional advice??

    I’m also having the same issue with my 65” C9. Cablevision, Optimum or Altice doesn’t work when requesting guide. Anyone find a work around yet? Cablevision works on my 49” Nanocell display.

    Having the same issue with the guide  as it does not pull the Videotron Montreal set top box channel guide as it should. You think you could include this set top from Canada so we can know what's on please.

    Same issue. Spectrum cable, Charlotte, NC. Is this a cable provider issue or a TV software issue or something else?

    I have optimum and cannot get guide to come up on my cable - not even sure which button to use.  I can pull it up slowly via SAP button but slow and awkward.

     Same issue with Rogers Ignite... The remote guide function only shows some IP channels, nothing from the Rogers network guide though. I can get to the Rogers gude by going through SAP, but its clumsy. What is the fix please?

    Similar problem. My magic remote pulls up cable TV guide, we have WOW Cable, but it does not allow us to select anything or it doesn’t process the request. I have disconnected the top box and reconnected it and nothing changes. Frustrated. Want to be able to use magic remote for everything. Currently, I have to to use two separate ones.

    Anyone aware of any fixes to this Guide Issue? Does LG even look at comments in this forum? I feel like I am wasting my time....

    Same issue for us. Comcast Cable, we can see our guide with the MagicRemote but can’t when selecting Watch screen goes black and the cable channel doesn’t work. The configuration of the MagicRemote may not be working. The Channel Up configuration screen comes up but the image on right side of config screen is just a blank square. I assume the cable tv channel is supposed to be visible in this box. Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated.
