One month after dryer install -- rust on vent holes inside of drum

My DLG3500W dryer was installed on June 9. Works great except that the area with the holes in the back of the inside of the dryer drum is turning rusty and getting rough.  It's not even a month old.  Is this a warranty issue or a product defect?  How do I stop it from getting worse?

I have the same issue and its ruining my sheets and clothing.  We have the GAS version converted to Propane. I scrub it off and it comes back. in a rather quick time.  We had LG out ant they replaced the Temp sensor and its still happening.  We are a B&B and use the dryer EVERY day and cant afford to be ruining our high end sheets and such.  We now don't dry anything on anything higher than Med High.  I have an call and ticket into LG.  if someone knows the answer to this issue please reply.  Photo attached. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem with rust at the back inside vent - and the dryer doesn't remove nearly as much lint as my OLD dryer.  It seems to attach balls of hair to some clothes and even "weave" hair into some.  Very disappointed with this dryer!
