I have the 256gb ssd model of the 17 gram and want to add another drive to install linux for some software development. Will adding a 2nd nvme ssd void the warranty on the whole machine? Say, if something becomes defective (e.g. the screen) down the line (within the warranty period), can I still send in the laptop for repair under warranty to LG after removing the 3rd party ssd I installed?

lguser184273, modifying the computer in any way would cause the manufacturer's warranty to be voided.

Voiding the warranty based on 3rd party service or parts is illegal, and has been for a while.  The FCC has recently been reminding companies of these deceptive markings and instructions.
