W´just got one and it does not have anything like that, suggest that you get it serviced since it sounds like the controller has 'forgotten' that there are other colors
I also have the green tint issue on my B6. It is horrible, I got approved by LG to have it fixed however I have been unable to get access to my proof of purchase since the TV was purchased 6 years ago.. Been in contact with Best Buy for over 3 weeks now and struggling to get it. Just sent you a message Jamal hopefully you can sort this out! Thank you! Please see the pictures attached of my burn in. It is truly horrible :(
I sent you private messages on this site regarding this green issue on 10/23/20 and again today. Please respond. Thank you so much.
I sent you a message on 9/26/2020, and haven't received a response as of yet.
If you require assistance with this, please send me a message at https://lgcommunity.us.com/messages/add with the information below to have your case reviewed for further assistance.

Yes. I have this same problem. LG give zero s***s. Started at the 12 month mark, now 27 months old and it’s almost unwatchable.
Red rectangles all over the screen, and a giant blob of green covering 75% of the lower middle of the screen. The simpsons are green. Egg yolks are green. Pink faces are green.
I’ve seen thousands of people having the same problem. No amount of pixel refreshing is going to fix a design problem.
I crawled around in search of this issue, maybe you'll find useful infos in these links
this is clearly a global issue... green spot is first sign of degradation due to overheating.. and all because of bad design
Same problem here on the LG OLED C7 late 2017 model. The problem keeps coming back. LG replaced the panel in 2019 and now got the same issue. LG is not helping this time around. Seems like the oled tvs are defective.
Feeling really bad...
I’m haveing the same problems.
I have the same problem - severe green color on the screen. It is very annoying. I have reached out to LG and they gave me some steps to do (Clear Panel Noise, Screen Shift, etc.) but nothing has worked. Here are some screen shots (which look remarkably like most of the other photos on this board.
How do I reach Jamal?
I have an OLED65B6P purchased August 7, 2017. I am also experiencing the green blob on my screen. Please advise what steps I need to take to get this heat spot issue addressed by LG. This set has been fantastic other than this issue and I have recommended OLED technology whenever possible. Please keep me as a “believer”.
My TV (OLED65B7A) is also experiencing this issue.
I started to seeing something strange on my screen about 2 weeks ago, but ran color tests and didn't see the same issue as described in this thread. As the days progressed, the green tint is getting progressively worse.
Sent a message to JamalofLG , and I will wait until I receive a response from him.
I am in the same boat, hope someone will help us finding a solution
Just found this thread and am having the same issue on a OLED65C7P. I sent a message to Jamal and am waiting to hear back. Purchased in 2017 and am not in warranty so hopefully Jamal and LG will come through.
I sent a message to Jamal and he had LG do a 1x courtesy replacement. Panel looks great again. It took some time but be patient then follow up. I had previously contacted LG support in April and got nothing back so Jamal is the man. Wanted to let others know LG stood by their product which not all companies do so I will be making future purchases from them.
Exact same issue here as everyone else. Started about a week ago. I’ve posted a review on Amazon in Canada where I bought it to inform others if the issue. Customer service hasn’t seemed promising so far. I think others should consider posting reviews on various retail sites where they purchased the tv to let others know. It seems likely that newer models will eventually have these issues about 2 years into use. People should know this issue with LG oled, and maybe LG will take this more seriously if they dozens or hundreds of reviews complaining.
Exact same issue here. OLED55B6P. Contacted LG Canada, they wanted to send a technician at my expense as this is out of warranty.
How has this not been identified as a defect and how has a recall not occurred outside of South Korea yet??
I have the same issue. 65” b7p. I contacted LG canada and they told me I need to do a screen refresh at least 4 times. If that doesn’t work I have to take it to a repair shop at my own expense. Should’ve got the Sony!
I have a late 2017 OLED55C7 with the same issue. Contacted LG CS about 2 months ago, they asked for more info and pictures and I haven't heard anything since. It gets incredibly hot, I noticed this when my wife was watching a show and I was doing some cable management and put my hand on the back of the TV.
I would really appreciate some assistance here, LG. I couldn't even get a response on how to get it fixed out of warranty, and now I'm seeing dozens of other people with the same issue, some of them even getting a "courtesy repair"? Great, I'll be expecting that too.
@JamalofLG my good sir, we need some help.
What model and OS? Cause I can't find this setting in my 55B7V
Hi there! I think you can push the "safety" line: I mean you bought a TV not a nuclear powerplant right? Jokes a part is it going so hot to be harmful? If yes then there is a clear responsibility for the manufacturer!
Update. I’ve called and emailed lg Canada and have been told that because the warranty is expired, that it is not their responsibility. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that many customers outside of South Korea are having these issues. I am going to consider cranking my contrast, brightness and oled light settings and making a video proving the screen area in the middle gets so hot that it softens and can push into it like jello. Then post it to Youtube
Was noticing the green issue starting couple weeks ago and then found this thread... So nothing good for us... I think we should consider a class vs LG if this issue so wide! Spent a lot in 2017 and now have this problem??? Obviously right after warranty expired.. anyway tomorrow will do as suggested, post pictures and PM admin with relevant info
I think we are facing two different problems here: burn-in (secondary - with a visible "structure" underneath) and OLED degradation ("primitive" - more uniform, no visible structure).
I would classify my problem as "degradation", therefore a manufacturing fault...
Heat? I don't know...But the risult is terrible: faces turn green when they cross the defective area...
BTW, my OLED TV should also be part of the 25% defective panels cited at minute 1 here : https://youtu.be/nX0AXzWm2cI
In fact it also displays a very mild rectangular brighter image as the ones described in the cited video (that can be partially seen looking at the first picture in my previous post and in some dimmer pics of red and yellow patterns that I have taken). Are the two defects, the brighter square and the central green blob, linked? Is it possible to correct the green blob correcting the lookup table? Please, LG, let me know!
I swnt Jamal a message today. I am having similiar issues on my OLED65B7A. Tried pixel refresher and tried leaving tv off for long time but it hasnt gone away. I have an older 55EG9100 that is still going strong. Was about to purchase another OLED but this problem concerns me as well as havent seen any corrective measures being taken (way to fix, repair, offered new tv swap, etc)
Local service techs just finished replacing the panel. I noticed the new replacement panel included a new and smaller board. It's the one in the middle behind some metal plating. The new board was so much smaller, LG had to include some new longer wiring harnesses. Hopefully this is the end.
I have this problem. Not quite as bad as some have shown.
Does it get worse over time and anyone have news from LG? Have to echo everyone who says 'never again' with regards to buying another LG product. This was my first LG tv, will be my last unless a fix becomes apparent.
I have a late 2017 C7.
