my C9 is from the German distribution and same happens to me. This drives me crazy! I hoped that friends that will come over will be quickly able to show me videos from their iPhones on my LG.
The video stutters as hell, LG please solve the issue!
I have the same issues. and I know this was working before (a few weeks ago) but basically, when I try to do screen mirroring on LG OLED c9, it just presents a black screen but the sound is still there.
Anyone have ideas?
I have the same issue. It works flawless with the Apple TV but it stutters a lot when I use it over the C9. That makes the AirPlay feature basically useless to me. A big negative point, which is said because the TV is otherwise perfect.
I wish I would have run across this forum before I wasted time purchasing a new 2020 - LG 50" Class - 7 Series 4K UHD TV Smart LED with HDR. I paid a premium for what I consider to be a top shelf brand which includes AirPlay, only to experience the same results that are being described here (grainy low quality video & choppy sound). I confirmed that Airplay works perfectly via a separate Apple TV box that I pulled from an older TV. I will be taking this TV back for a refund.
It's definitely an LG problem. I'm having the same issues with my tv where both video and audio playback are choppy.
I'm shocked this is still an issue, I saw a review of these TVs from 6 months ago and thought they would've resolved the quality issue by now and my TV arrived yesterday (updated to latest firmware). It definitely seems to be an issue with LG processing the video/audio because I have an Apple TV (box) so plugged it in to compare and it works flawlessly so that rules out WiFi issues (both connected very close to the router).
The video looks like it's badly compressed and the audio flickers. I hope they manage to fix it soon as I would love to use my TV without the need of external devices. I find all the other apps work fine, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Video etc. so the only reason I would need to use my Apple TV box is due to LG's poor quality.
Fingers crossed for an update soon 🤞
Dear LG, it's not serious from such a company like you, keep on answering this way. It's clearly an issue lg firmware related.
The question is: are you going to do something or not.?
Any solution for this problem? I can't believe LG hasn't solve this yet. And yes, this is an LG problem, not an Apple problem. I'm starting to think that I should buy Sony! I can't believe that now I have to buy an Apple TV in order to reproduce my iMac videos in my brand new OLED C9.
