uni_miskatonic's post did the trick. Been getting this error quite a bit lately on my LG TV and I have tried every solution (factory reset, disable IPv6, re-install Disney+). The issue is hit or miss and it didn't work most of the time. Just tried this solution and it worked immediately.
Solution: Connect the TV to a Cellphone hotspot and play something on D+, then move it back to the original network.
Following my post above, started getting the error again after two weeks. The DRM error appeared shortly after I reset my wireless router to fix an unrelated PC problem.
Wondering if the router reset trigger might indicate some causality, this change somehow confusing the Disney app and the security behind it. The first time this DRM issue appeared, last year, was also after resetting my router (ie turning off, then on again)
As an experiment I set up my iphone’s (4G) wireless hotspot as the network source for the LG TV, and immediately Disney+ began to play movies on the TV with no DRM error.
Shortly after this small victory I changed the network setting on the TV back to point at my router (while Disney+ was active) and movies continued to play with no errors.
Taking a chance and leaving my comment about this same error. Not sure where the moderators are but haven't seen one comment on this thread since November. Bought my LG Smart TV just to upgrade so we could stream Disney+ and not able to. Nobody seems to know even what to do.
Have same problem too. Somehow found time and date was wrong, fixed that and it worked for twice, but sadly back to the same screen with same error. Have to resort to the laptop to watch Disney+
Have the same issue on an E8. Disney+ worked fine on the TV for 2 days and then got the drmlicenserequestfailed message. Have uninstalled/reinstalled but hasn’t helped.
Set up a live chat with Disney+ rep who said they were aware of an issue and would work to resolve but did not get a timeframe.
Cancelled subscription before being billed, waiting to hear of a resolution
I am also having this problem. I've been looking all over the internet and it really seems like it's not very common, which sucks because it's hard to find a solution. Has anyone had any luck fixing it?
Good Morning. I have escalated this issue for further review to get a resolution. However, this apps to be common across multiple sources and providers with the Disney+ app.
I had tried to uninstall and reinstall but no luck. I also tried to fresh reset my lg oled c8 but still same. Now i just hoping a new disney+ update or new lg oled c8 firmware for the fix. Kinda sad because i have no issue to play from my iphone and xbox one.
I am getting this message also. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app a couple of times.Sometimes I can watch a video but then it I get the drm error when I log on again. My Roku and IPad both work ok.

I'll report back if the issue returns

I’d love to hear if this works for anyone else
