DLE1001W running too hot?

Dryer seems to be running really hot. We only use the “low” temp setting. But clothes are shrinking and clothes are very hot after the cool down mode.

** edited to add ** I took the lint trap apart and there was a substantial amount of lint behind the filter. Also quite a bit in the exhaust vent. Does this indicate that there is a leak in the drum and I should look at replacing the felt seal? I don't know much about these machines but it seems like lint is getting through - or around - the filter.

Lint fibers are small and can bypass the filter. That is why we recommend the exhaust ducts are cleaned at least once per year. If not, poor exhaust could prevent heat from exhausting out, thereby allowing it to build up in drum.
