More than 20 songs on a CD

I have a CD that has 85 MP3 songs on it. My car player shows

1. Song title

2. Artist.

3. Song # on play list.

4. Length of song.

I have 2 CD burners and 4 different burning programs. I can only get 20 MP3’s on a CD. The CD that I have with 85 songs on it was burned by me about two years ago. I have different burners and I don’t remember what software program I was using (I still have 3). I have asked several people and have been told 20 is the limit. But I have one with 85 songs. I know that it is possible.

Any ideas?

It depends on the size of that CD. Compare the file size on those two CDs to check if the file memory size is different. And to be honest too, there are some softwares you may use to get 85 songs on a CD but the audio quality will become lossy and greatly compressed.

You will need to do more research but I cannot recommend any third party software for you.

Even if this info comes very late, when using Windows, the following software even runs in Windows 10:
Try using CDBurnerXP to burn WAV- or MP3-files to CD.
I just wrote 83 WAV titles on a 700mb CD, making a backup copy of my purchased audio CD to keep my original CD scratch-free.
To extract from the original CD I use Audiograbber 1.83SE.
Written on Blueray slim writer LG-BP40NS20.

Keep an eye on the capabilities of your burner and use slowest writing speed possible when burning to CD.
Not every audio player is able to read CDs that where written at highest burning speeds.
