Pedistal washer has a broken door hinge
Hi
I managed to find the replacement part on line but so far cannot find anything on how the replacement of the broken hinge goes. Does someone know? I would rather not pay someone to come do it if it is simple.
Thanks

The left hinge on my sidekick broke too after just over a year of use. After ordering a new lid two years ago, I finally changed it today and it was pretty simple. I used a flathead screwdriver to push the white insert on the broken hinge back until I could twist the lid off the left side. Then I pushed the small screwdriver into the outer side of the right hinge to pop the inner hinge piece out.
Putting the new lid on is easy and does not require tools. Insert the white hinge pieces into the black hinge assembly on the lid. Do not push all the way yet. Line up the lid on the washer. Then using your finger, push the white hinge pieces into the outer sides of the hinges on the base.
The hinge assemblies on the replacement lid are a better design since they screw onto the lid so a future replacement would be just the hinges instead of the whole lid.
i'm posting this image on as many of the related threads as I can identify so consumers understand the issue (and maybe get LG to understand, too) upper half (black plastic) fails
Looks like i need a new lid. Poor construction.
