I had the same problem of "Unknown remote device is disconnected" constantly popping up in the top right hand corner of the screen. My engineer changed the wifi board and replaced and re-routed the ribbon cable which looked crimped. The fault has not appeared since the repair in May 2019,
I had this issue, replaced the wifi module, and the problem went away for awhile but came back. This particular model of wifi module is either super crappy or there is something wrong with the way it interacts with the TV. In any event, i removed the module entirely and rely on a wired connection. I lose some functionality but it will be worth it never to be bothered by the stupid pop up again.
UJ7700 here-- same issue for months, but lucky for LG, I am out of warranty as well. Frustrating that such an expensive TV clearly has issues, but the manufacturer doesn't care.
From the UK, bought tv Sept 2017, unknown device disconnected problem started just after one year warranty... LG replaced WiFi unit and main board, worked ok for 2 months, same problem... just received tv back from its latest repair... replaced main board (again).. lasted a WHOLE 3 days before the same annoying problem... Come on LG recall your whole range and compensate. THIS IS BEYOND A JOKE, you are selling a product not fit for purpose 😡
